Environmental issues and global warming have become a focus of numerous conferences worldwide, and were also the main theme of the July 2008 G8 summit in Japan. Against this backdrop, we are confident that the 5th Eco-products International Fair scheduled for March 2009 will play an important role in accelerating efforts toward a sustainable society. Thanks to hard work by the various stakeholders, the Eco-products International Fair has grown each year in terms of both numbers of visitors and richness of content and has attracted much attention. We firmly believe that the Eco-products International Fair, as a platform for government entities, businesses, private organizations, and the public alike, will make a major contribution to the development of a sustainable society.
